so my lb claudette dress is here yay! :D i got violet in size s knowing fully well i couldnt fit into it and ended up selling it to my friend and keeping the grey m for myself. went for the BO even though it takes helluva long time to arrive. oh well, it can be a surprise to myself when it finally arrives. anyway, i went for a bigger size haha kiasu like that. am planning to build more muscles you see. HAHAHAHAHAH (more like prepping to get fat) oh wells.

Crazy morning

no idea what on earth possessed me to agree to cheryl's crazy idea of coming to kallang early morning to try and clock 650reps thereabout of bench press and pull each. so anyway, i readily agree without thinking twice. (btw, she asked AFTER gym session on tues ok) this is us! (cheryl left earlier AFTER completing) the face like a happy cause it's photo taking but i swear we were crying inside.

secretly cannot wait for the next time we do this crazy shit again cause i know we're only gna get stronger. oh and due to shortage of time, we only managed to do like 300 reps then 200 reps. we still owe 100 and 50 reps so yea next time gotta meet earlier or sth.

nommed on fruits and coffee this morn. feeling rehder full but satisfied. cant wait for lunch (WHUTTTTTTTTT) hahahahah. ok cant wait for rowing tonight hehehehe

spinning

so pam very geh kiang and went for spinning this afternoon during lunch hehe cranked up the notches and felt her thighs burn. it was a good workout but now she's abit handicapped. she has difficulty walking and going up/down stairs. now she's using a chopstick to have her salad and picking up the bits one by one.

Crazy Monday

chicken chop with sauteed vegetables and fried potato cakes hokkien mee monday was a pretty slack day for me heheh did practically nothing at work. managed to sell off my kaffrey dress LOL brand new okay totally never wear before with tag still intact. went to gym with mm after work hahaha did legs and almost died. itsokayyyy i am improving hahaha my legs are getting more muscular lol i dont really mind big thighs if i know theyre full of muscles.. idw jiggly thighs hahaha er wisdom tooth is growing and i think i have a slight infection so it throbs madly now. cant run cause ill feel worse so ive taken to the cross trainer or the bike haha girly machines.

Blood orange jelly with orange granite, freeze-dried pineapple, feuilletine, citrus segments & lime zest had a double date with j&j on friday evening along with MM heheh. they wanted ambush but i coerced them into having dinner at saveur instead. a 730 dinner was dragged to about 8+ hahaha but it doesnt matter cause the food was great. initially, they were still concerned over the $$ issue but i dispelled their fears by telling them that saveur was cheaper than ambush, by quite abit. i mean, where can you find a duck confit for only 10++?? haha its probably at least 17 over at ambush if am not wrong. anyway being greedy, oops i mean, being the big eaters that we are. we almost wanted to order everything on the menu hahaha but decided not to. so we picked three starters and settled for different mains for each of us. dessert tempted us and we wanted to choose everything but decided to do with only 3 in the end because cookies and milk sounded too lame for MM-____- he scolded us for wanting to pay money for sth so lame. LOL WHATTHEHELL???

pictures are on top. so we ordered both the foie gras and their well known and very famous saveur pasta. all of us decided that the foie gras with the creamy lentils and pickled pearl onion was nicer. hahahaha the pasta was mehhh~~ but still what do you expect from sth that's only 4.90++ HAHAHAHA. i think it was alright. mains: jos had the beef, j had the pork, mm had the chicken and i had the duck. ended up sharing everything so everyone had a little bit of everything.

all of us fell in love with the pistachio panna cotta haha omg it was so smooth and fragrant. thank god all of us were nutty about nuts hahaha. next up was the choc hazelnut which wasn't too bad. everyone else hated the blood orange thingamajig but i quite liked it!!! they're weird or maybe i am weird. hahahaha i love anything citrusy. it was a filling dinner i guess hahahaha parted ways after dinner.

dragged mm to watch monsters uni with me haha he no likey animation but i guess whining helped me get my way. anyway the digital version was sold out so we watched the 3d version. eh it wasnt too bad hahaha. oh wells. all these wont last very long because i have just gotten wind that training resumes tomorrow evening ah mah gawd.

Dinner with hamster

hamster's steak + prawns rib eye steak met up with the hamster for a random dinner date cause i asked in bnj group chat who was free for dinner on thurs. only she was unoccupied so we made plans. hahaha chosen place to dine was at Hot Tomato, the one at Somerset313. picked our mains fairly quickly, the servers took our orders. and food appeared on the table in less than 10mins. must say i was quite surprised at their speed. but also it might have been due to the haze that business was slow and therefore food was able to get out fast. hahaha hamster appeared with a mask LOL which covered like 3/4 of her face. hahahahaha i told her she'd look prettier if the mask covered her whole face teehee.

went to far east to shop after that. we trained up cause hamster refused to walk out in the haze SO LAME PLS! it did look and smell pretty bad out in the streets last night hahaha. had a mini window shopping cause she only bought a dress. was pretty tempted to buy dresses too but there's 80% chance i wont be able to fit into free sized stuff ): hahaha went to ion after to just exercise and move our legs. also!!! we went baby clothes shopping cause hammy's elder sister is gna pop in sept! HAHAHAHAHA baby clothes are so tiny omg!!!!! anyway abrupt end cause i gotta get back to work!

date night

shaved durian ice haha wtf caviar manicure hehe went out with MM yday haha finally like a proper date night kinda thing. usually weds would be filled with trng haha thankful for this little break. anyway, met at ion. dinnered at taka's lmxlb and that idiot ordered like so much food. i almost died trying to finish it omg i really thought i was gonna burst. had a very boring and safe main, braised beef lamian haha. couldnt even finish the noodles but i slurped up all the soup and meat. after that i was distracted by the chef inside handmaking the lamians. like from one thick strand into many little thin strands (not broken one okay!)

felt like a pig. hahah walked into sephora at taka and went 0.o that they have the caviar manicure set for testing hehe immediately whined to MM and finally persuaded him to lend me his little finger to test. hahaha wanted to test on my own finger BUT!!!!! i had my nails painted just recently hahaha. he willingly lent me so all's good. i didnt coerce him okay! after that, we went over to ion for a walk. wanted to visit pandora haha my new addiction but then it was too crowded and i got annoyed. left the store like in less that 5 mins. er didnt really walk around much also HAHAHA after that we went to the basement for shaved durian ice. HAHAHAHA we're so gross. but i rly like durian!! and last night's PSI was scary man hahahaha

mm perched on office chair, sipping on my iced gula melaka tea. reaping the aches of the bp seeds i sowed this afternoon. can't quite decide if it worked. anyway, shall go for more aftnn classes to make my money worth it. only the squats are a killer. also, should i be upping my squats weight or should i lower my upper body exercise weights? it kinda doesnt make sense that almost every station i do, the weights are the same HAHAHA what a joke. either i have a strong upper body OR my legs are weak!!!!!!!! (i think thats probably the case) i think bp thrice a week would be enough eh. pls let me say hi to my nice legs soon!

Kbox with the girlzies

team kbox hehe the warblers kbox last night was definitely an eye opener. or should i say ear opener? nah, think ear closer more accurately describes it. the girlzies are prolly the only people i know who do not need a mic to sing (okay at least thats for my case) and can still scream the house down. the attendance was alright cause i didnt expect so many to be present haha had a mini picnic in the room. amazingly, we managed to squeeze about 16 girls into a room meant only for 10. sitting wise, it wasnt a problem. fitting our shoulders comfortably was a huge issue haha i ended up on the floor with landy. not complaining. top fav hits were from jay chou, mayday, elva hsiao, fir, show luo. we even slotted english songs in between. call me maybe??

this outing is definitely something i wouldnt miss the world for. rather than being at night training and trying to control our volume, this outing lets us unleash the full power of our vocal cords haha

macau 2013

TEAM JUMP SHOT IN MACAU. COACH DID THE HULK SMASH!!! St Paul's ruins. Macau's place of interest lol SPDB hooyah~~ Forever my babies this trip marks the third time that i have been to macau international race with the team. back in 2010 when i was still a freshie in the team. in the blink of an eye, i become the few that remained since 2010. there's only a handful of us now and the team is so different now. cant put a finger to what's so different now and i am not sure if it's a good or bad change. but change is the only constant so i guess to embrace and live with it would be the best.

coach mentioned that he is stepping down after this race. it brings an aching that i cannot understand to my heart. i feel disappointed, saddened and glad(for him) all at once. i remember how he took over steve and noone was particularly welcoming of him at first. until he slowly started grooming the team with his own style and we started to show results. macau 2010 was the same as the previous macau trips that the team's been too. 5th position, way behind all the chinese teams. macau 2011 was slightly better after coach took over. granted there weren't as many chinese teams as before and we clinched 3rd position. we skipped macau 2012 cause we were prepping for adbc in sept. and this macau is probably the last overseas trip with coach. we're gna miss him so much.

cause we live for each other

jos and i before running team bballers hehe it's the official (short) break of the season! this time it's gonna last one week. hahahaha cannot imagine 1 week without the teammies, lol i have a dependency syndrome haha. clingy and needy. i obviously cannot function well alone. anyways, itchy backside us decided on a bball game on saturday. sure feels weird going somewhere else other than kallang on a bright saturday morning.

before bballing, running buddy and i went to run haha and i almost died cause i didnt take breakfast. but that is not an excuse. i have slackened and i need to improve. grhhh. felt a little faint and nauseous after the run. but we managed to clock a good timing so all is worth it..

went to dabao bbt for the teammies after that and joined in a bit of bball fun. after that session, it is concrete fact that i do not have any ball sense in me. hahahahah sigh pie. it's been a boring weekend without trainings. and hopefully it resumes next weekend! cannot stand staying home with nothing to do!

chionging work even on the day before i leave haha whats a girl gotta do when she's in need of money hahaha. wj came down to gwc to look for me after my shift ended (at 8 haha cause i requested for mid shift) and we had dinner at bangkok jam. repeatedly bugging him and kept on insisting that i wanna try bkj, it was alright. not superb but can pass i guess. dont think i wanna go back there for dinner again though. it's pretty expensive. and the basil chicken with rice was a little salty and the egg was oily omg :/ back from macau so yea this is just a random update. will do a proper one after lunch or sth.

some monkey business on a hot friday afternoon

cant be bothered to phrase my thoughts properly so am just gonna blog whatever comes to mind. am sitting on my fatty ass now, after my bowl of salad with lotsa nice ingredients. lettuce, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, grapes, corn, chicken breast, eggs. sounds little but it is pretty filling. i feel bloated right now.

had a hot lunch time run before that with jos. above are the pictures of what went on hahaha some monkey business. hanging on the bar and doing wipers. doing some pull ups. trying to gather as many pictures as possible for our (maybe never ever gonna materialize) fitness blog.

running today was a chore. the sun was unforgiving. the wind was strong. am certain that i'd be squinting all the way if not for my shades. my hair was tied abit too tightly cause i didnt want it to come loose halfway so my scalp was feeling weird. the ponytail kept swinging and pissing me off. if i had tied a bun, the bun would also be flopping. makes me tempted to cut my hair. ughhh.

macau is coming monday and i havent gone to the money changer's. i am such a procrastinator when it comes to impt things hahaha

TGIF

YAY cause it's friday today and it's another 7 days before i step into the stupid office again harharhar wont see my colleagues till next friday but it doesn't matter hehe cause bff isn't around anymore. if she were around, then i'd prolly feel guilty about leaving her here all alone in a shitty place with a monster hounding her and snapping at her heels. ah well, it's gonna be a good friday for running. am meeting jos again at PA or somewhere thereabout and having our PJ run. can't decide if i should bring my phone, guess i will cause what if she needs to contact me. defo hope that we won't get caught in the rain again. also can't decide what i should eat for lunch. mmm. decisions decisions/

Stay sweaty

i have a love hate relationship with running. but i can safely say i rather run 10k even though it takes more time to do so than to row a 10k with 19 other teammies. harharhar better to suffer alone right? i like it when the sun shines down on me, the heat searing my skin. with every step, the tarmac burns my feet. when my steps move in sync to the music blasting in my ears. i prefer to run alone, no obligations to slow down or catch up with others. to move to the pace i want to run to.

running makes me feel alive. i love it when my legs are sore. when every step i take i have to hobble, when stepping on the ground makes me wince in pain. running allows me a temporary form of escape. to feel the wind in my hair and feel my attire flapping against my body.

Running is cathartic. Running has helped me make it through days when I haven’t wanted to do anything but fall apart and not pick up the pieces. If I can make it through this run, I can make it through [insert hardship/battle/plight here]. There is something about overcoming a physical struggle that allows your mind to channel this same positive energy and level of focus and determination into dealing with whatever hardship you are facing.

got that from thougthcatalog and i cant describe or put into other words how much i agree with that. running has been a huge part of my life. i'd put down anything just to go for a run after breakups. running at a furious pace and seeing how long i can last for with tears streaming endlessly down my face. running lets me run away from the mess in life. when i am running, i am free. (thats prolly one of the reason why i always lose weight after a breakup HAHAHA) i like it when i have a layer of sweat on my skin, when i shine and glisten. this is when i feel good about myself. i look like a mess after running. red faced, messed up hair, cheeks puffing in and out from breathing. but it doesn't matter. beauty is only superficial. i dont need to look good to feel good. running makes everything good.

not gonna get to run this afternoon cause fickleminded me made plans to go lunch w my dearest bff already. wanted to change my mind but i couldnt ps her. so yea i'll just lunch with her and run tmr instead. i better train harder if i wanna look better. my figure is disgusting me right now. i am so grossed out.

please enlighten me then. what was the point in me giving you feedback when all you do is shoot it down with a(n excuse) reason of yours? what happened to being receptive of comments and such. cant you just say 'orh'. must you give your own lameass reason?

sucks to be out of the top ten cause thats when most people dont value your opinions. just because youre in the first crew doesnt entitle you to be high and mighty and stuck up. ugh. what were they thinking when they voted for you. rolls eyes.

lunch time run

cause we can fly too. not just superman. buddy picture hehe headless and jos thinks she looks like a guy-_- how can a lunch time run be complete without meeting good friend to do pullups together hehe? it was a splendid day to start running, hit my stride and got into a comfy pace almost immediately after i started my run. perspired like a pig 5mins into the run and was kinda soaked in sweat. stomped my way thru the same old route and got stares from tourists who must be thinking who the hell runs under this kinda hot sun and also the lunch peeps at the esplanade cafe. nevertheless, i plodded thru and finally reached the flyer. this was when i checked my phone and saw that jos whatsapped me and asked me where was i lol i was already reaching sheares bridge by then. continued my run and waited abit for her. she arrived and we took some pictures haha how can we meet and not take pictures right, it just doesnt feel right. did pull ups, gathered materials for our (maybe upcoming) fitness blog LOLOL SHAMELESS. and then we started a slow jog/walk to sheares. and bammmm!!!!! it started to drizzle. we just stared at each other and scattered in opposite directions hahah it was damn funny. looking forward to another run.

maybe its just me

maybe its just me but i feel weird without having her around. like i have less reasons to walk about in the office. i suddenly have lesser things to do because my work is kinda limited and i help out with her stuff. but with the new girl, (so bad to say this) i dont feel like helping her at all. had lunch with weiling yday and it wasnt too bad. tom yum fish soup haha i wanted to have salad but changed my mind last min. ah well. cant wait to run later. project june, day 2 of running. today is to the pull up bar at PA water venture. meeting jos there and we might clock some pull ups. better bring some money hahaha in case i decide to take a bus back to office lol, like the loser that i am hehehe. should also bring a phone along. for picture taking hahahha (as evidence and also as material for the fitness blog hehehehehe)

rainbow

so we saw a rainbow during trng yesterday. it was drizzling and we were all getting wet while doing land trng haha. i remember i was planking (front plank) when someone asked, is that a rainbow? LOL so there was 45 secs left and i badly wanted to take my phone to capture the moment but i couldnt get up from my plank ): ahahahah thank god elly was going into the bunk and i asked her to bring out my phone for me. the rainbow was different by the time i took a picture. and you cant see it clearly. but that streak across the sky, yea thats the rainbow.

Monday, June 3

finished a run on a boring monday. clocked 2.45k on a treadmill in 15mins before deciding that outdoors would be more conducive and effective in turning my mood around. been really distracted all morning and couldn't wait for lunch to finally get my ass out to run. outdoor gym area closed already so the gym was relatively empty. managed to go early enough to snag a treadmill thank god. think i clocked about 7+k altogether? really envious of those who managed to go for sundown and completed the full marathon haha maybe i'll get my chance during scsm since the team might not be going for SG ): which is a pity ): guess we're still not there yet.

tried a new route today!! managed to clock a round of the whole cbd haha (later i go map my run then see how far i actl ran)(checking it right now actl)(okay fine i didnt manage to find out!!!) anyway its from ORP towards the bridge behind then underpass to esplanade walk then run past esplanade all the way to helix and along mbs then follow along the water front all the way to fullerton area then to merlion and down the underpass and back. i think it was quite a good route although i hated the part where i had to run up the helix bridge. the slight slop is a killer for my weak legs ): many people stared at me, this disheveled creature with her hair in a mess, red faced and all, stomping her way through the atas crowd outside mbs haha esp those dining. they must be thinking why am i so crazy to be running during lunch LOL. project june commences today. i must make it a point to run almost daily. ok maybe 5 times a week... we shall see how.

today is the start of a new week and a whole new life at work without cwl ugh dreading lunch already. i'll prolly head to the gym. and make friends with the bigger weights hehehe
